Just a quick update on what's on at My Petite Love in August!

Firstly, we are very excited that we will be attending the most prestigious kids event again this year in Melbourne. Kids In Style is “the premier trade event for kids and babies fashion and accessories in its region.” We attended this event last year and found it extremely interesting and jaw dropping. Last year, we got to the event on the last day, but this year, we are sure to be standing by at the door and watch it open on the first day at 11am. We can't wait to catch up with our Australian suppliers and checking out all the fabulous new stuffs for kids. We will definitely give you an update on our discoveries and adventures once we get back from the massive event. Oooohhhhh just 2 more winks to go...can't wait!

Time flies! We are moving into the 3^rd month of 2011....MARCH! We somehow “disappeared” during the month of February ;) Well, please let us explain our “disappearance”

Firstly, our princess is back in Singapore for holidays. Thus, we try to spend as many minutes of the day together...family bonding. Then, there is the Chinese New Year celebrations. We were busy spring cleaning and making yummy goodies. Most importantly, how can we not mention about house visiting and ang baos giving/receiving. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations. We certainly had great fun ourselves and are still suffering from the lag after all the eating and gatherings and presents exchanging and catching up with families and friends.

How time flies.....Christmas is just a month away. Time to shop, dine or just get into the festivities. Christmas has always been the favourite time of the year for us. We love the family get-together, catching up with friends and the exchanging of presents. We enjoy the walk down Orchard Road hunting the stores for lovely gifts for our nephews and nieces. The smile and joy on their faces when they open their presents are just priceless.

This Christmas, we are eager to see how our princess is going to react to all the hustle and bustle as the days draw closer. This year, she is able to recognise Santa Claus, Gingerbread Man, the Christmas Trees and is excited to see all the colourful and pretty Christmas decorations in the shops and malls. The most memorable part of her first Christmas was reaping wrappers off all the presents she received. Her second Christmas was a very quiet one as we were away from home. Her third Christmas is yet to be discovered. ;)

Stuffed Toy......a toy that is normally made from cloth, plush or other textiles and are “fed” with synthetic fibres, cotton, or other similar materials. They come in different shapes and sizes and some of them resemble animals, cartoon characters or some other form. Most often, they become our children's best friends or serve as great pals for occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day or simply because they are so adorable.

We are great lovers of soft toys and have a collection of them since we were young. Some of them have passed on but most of them still sits cleanly wrapped up in cellophane paper and placed on top of our cupboards. Shoe, a covering for the human foot. Have you ever counted how many pairs of shoes you have wear off from the day you are born? For us, we have certainly lost count. I was doing a minor spring cleaning of my princess' cupboard the other day and happen to come across 2 boxes of shoes which she has outgrown. I thought to myself, she is only 2 years plus (not forgetting she only started walking when she was around 14 months old) and already gone through about 16 pairs of shoes. Is this the normal “usage”? Or she is just one fortunate girl, whose Mummy loves dressing her up? Whatever the reason, I just believe that it is important to provide a good pair of shoes for healthy feet development. Apparently, a child's feet continue to develop until their teen years. Hence, it is important to take good care of their feet early so as to ensure a lifetime of healthy feet.

There are three brands of shoes that we simply adore and will love to share them with you.

Pediped's shoes are “the next best thing to barefeet”. They have an extensive range of shoes to cater to the different needs of the children as their feet grow.
